Sindh Food Authority (SFA) has sealed Super Salateen Hotel located in Clifton, Karachi. The eatery was sealed for preparing rotten meat and using expired food items in cooking.
The officials discovered the storage area in a filthy condition and had inadequate cleaning conditions.
Reportedly, the action was taken against the Super Salateen Hotel near Bilawal Chorangi area of Clifton after a person filed a complaint with the food authority.
Authorities found rotten meat and other food items, which were expired in the hotel.
The authority has also imposed a penalty of Rs. 50, 000 on Super Salateen Hotel for not following the food regulations after they sealed the restaurant temporarily.
Expired meat, low-quality oil, and ingredients were exposed during the raid.
The stuff was stored in unacceptable conditions in the unhygienic working area in the kitchen, violating food regulations.

SFA has conducted a citywide massive operation aims to eradicate the unhealthy, low quality and unhygienic eateries in Karachi that do not follow food regulations.
In the recent months, numerous unfortunate cases have been surfaced due to food poisoning, which has further accelerated the operation in the metropolis now.
Over the weekend, Waheed Kabab House was also sealed for unhygienic conditions at the restaurant. Likewise, the Kitchen of Fresco Bakery was sealed for the same reason.
